Monica Anderson is CEO of Syntience Inc. and originator of a theory
for learning called "Artificial Intuition" that may allow us to create
computer based systems that can understand the meaning of language in
the form of text. This video proposes a change in direction in AI
research - More resources need to be focused on Understanding rather
than Reasoning. The way to accomplish this is to use Model Free
Methods. Ms. Anderson also speculates about the so-called AI
singularity and discusses whether SkyNet like scenarios, where
computers take over the world from us humans, are plausible.
